SPEAKING

I'm speaking at #IFC2023!

Truly excited to be running a Masterclass at this year's International Fundraising Congress (IFC), taking place 17 - 20 October in Holland.

The masterclass programme takes place ahead of the main event and is an immersive, small group session for intense exploration and hands-on, deep dive learning.

OPENING KEYNOTE

"International Women's Day - Will you Choose to Challenge?"

Collaboration Forum Series 4: Optimism in tough times.

A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. Individually, we're all responsible for our own thoughts and actions - all day, every day. On Thursday 11 March we celebrated International Women’s Day and heard diverse perspectives from Helen Pankhurst (Senior Advisor at Care International and great grand-daughter of Emmeline Pankhurst), Esther Kwaku (founder of www.wegotnerve.com) and Carolyn Clark (NED at Starling Bank and board advisor). Watch the session recording to hear their inspiring commentary that resonates now more than ever will challenge you and inspire you. Let’s explore how collectively how we can forge a gender-equal world and raise awareness against bias.

SESSION

"I Know you got soul. Storytelling and you."

This one deserves a special shout because I LOVED doing this and the crew behind this are amazing. If you've never heard of the BAME ONLINE conference, check them out on the socials and see what they are planning. Hosted by the wonderful JMB Consulting, they are on a mission to see that issues around racial justice are at the forefront of conversations in the charity sector. It's delivered by people colour and for people of colour. My session was about the soul in your storytelling.

Want to hear about an incredible journey of connecting with your mission as a change-maker? Well, this is set to be a powerful one. Esther’s keynote will energise you through sizzling stories, fearless introspection and daring questions. Will you be the thinking the same thing about your purpose as when you walked through the door? We hope not.

If anything, we hope that it will get you thinking about the lost art of serendipity, how to inject entrepreneurial va-va-voom into your work, making brave mistakes and how to take badass steps forward for the things you care about.

Whether you think you’re a good storyteller or not it’s something we all do.

For some it’s second nature and for others they are doing it anyway but perhaps subconsciously. In this masterclass we will look at how we can unlock the real power of stories – for fundraising but also for making a human connection with the things that matter to us in the world.

This will be an experiential, energetic session exploring…

  • How we find purpose and meaning in the stories we tell

  • Truth, authenticity and working with your story subjects

  • How good ideas develop, creativity and upping the ante

  • Nailing your unique storytelling edge

  • Bridging your organisational narrative with your personal values

Using live examples we will challenge ourselves to be brave, creative and delightfully curious!
